Alexander and Maria’s family have been making wine for over 500 years. From 5.5 hectares in Burgenland,
Austria, they produce wines with exceptional character. The vineyards are in the Neusiedl am See, a
small village situated at the shores of the Neusidl Lake and on the eastern end of the Leitha Mountains
which feature soft, rolling hills of mostly limestone soil. All of Alex & Aaria’s wines are fermented
spontaneously and without temperature control. Maturation occurs exclusively without sulphur
supplements, and there is no fining or filtration. Some cuvées have light sulphur (≤ 15mg) added at
bottling.
