About the winemaker

Founded in 2005 by Giuseppe Fangareggi, Vitivinicola Fangareggi has ancestral ties to Lambrusco cultivation dating back to the 1800s. Today, Giuseppe's son Matteo leads the estate alongside his mother Margherita and uncle Roberto. With roles divided, Giuseppe and Roberto care for the vineyards, Margherita manages hospitality, and Matteo oversees all, including winemaking. Their exclusive wines are crafted from the family's 24-hectare vineyards across Reggio Emilia and Modena. Practicing organic methods with advanced pest management, the vineyard work is largely manual. In the cellar, Matteo employs only native yeasts for primary fermentation, producing six types of sparkling wines. ​
